Kathmandu. Workers at the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) have been on strike for the past 34 days. The employees of NAPCE have been protesting without stopping their work.

The employees of NEPSE have been protesting against the decision of the Board of Directors of NEPSE against the order of the Labour Court. With the approval of the Ministry of Finance, NEPSE has been distributing 1 percent bonus annually to its employees. However, NEPSE has been demanding a bonus of up to 5 percent as it has been making good profit.

The employees had gone to the labour court over the dispute that had been going on for a few years. Although the court had ruled in favor of the employees of NEPSE on June 19, 2082, the investors have gone on strike after the board of directors did not take the decision accordingly.
