Kathmandu. Summit Air’s business has declined. The company’s business declined by 13 percent in the last fiscal year compared to the previous fiscal year.
The company had a turnover of Rs 1.03 billion in 2024 and a turnover of Rs 89.9 crore in 2025. The company had a turnover of Rs 1.11 billion in 2023 and Rs 793 million in 2022.
The company’s revenue has been steadily declining in the last three years. According to the company, the revenue has been affected due to the ground problem of the aircraft not being able to serve in the main season. The company has a long-term and short-term debt rating of Rs 283.3 crore and $8.6 million.
According to the company, 59 percent of its revenue is from flights to Lukla. In 2023, it earned 53 percent of its revenue from this route. In 2025, the load factor of passengers was 84 percent. In 2024, it was 86 percent.
The company started flights from Mansarovar-Mount Kailash in June 2025. At the same time, Summit’s market share is declining. The market share has increased from 35 percent in 2022 to 29 percent in 2024. Due to technical reasons, the market share has also decreased along with the income.
Established in 2010, the company has been providing domestic air services. The company has been providing short-haul air service with four aircraft. The airline operated under the name Goma Air until 2016. The current name has since been changed. The summit currently has 4 aircraft. This aircraft flies in remote areas. The company has been providing cargo and chartered flights as per the requirement. Bikash Rana is the chairman of the company.
