Jumla. Nadaiguha is located in Upper Khopri village of Tila Rural Municipality-9 and is an important place from the tourism and religious point of view. Due to lack of adequate publicity and infrastructure, the cave is now waiting for tourists.

Nadaiguha is a tourist destination with historical importance from a religious point of view. The area has been overshadowed by lack of publicity and transportation. A well-managed trekking route has been constructed to reach the cave, said ward chair Dhan Bahadur Rawat.

There is a need for reliable roads to the villages. A tender has been called for the construction of the road this year. Ward Chair Rawat said that the rural municipality has been carrying out works to promote local tourism by considering the religious tourism potential.

The highest peak and cave here are the center of attraction for domestic and foreign tourists. The high mountains can be seen from the hills of the caves. It is necessary to increase the flow of domestic and foreign tourists here for the enchanting view of the mountain range. Ward Chair Rawat said that the attractive scenery of the surrounding area has attracted tourists.

A budget of Rs 9 million was allocated from the federal government last year for the conservation and construction of the cave temple. According to ward chair Rawat, the budget was spent for the construction of physical infrastructures of Nadai cave, construction of trekking route to reach the cave and construction of physical infrastructures including dharamshala.

The cave is two hundred meters long. Traditionally, water flows from the cave, which is shaped like cow’s milk. Motilal Rokaya, chairperson of Tila rural municipality, said that the rural municipality was working to develop the historic Nadaigufa as a religious tourism site. He said that the cave would be developed by the local government with preparation for the promotion of tourism.

Amakala Thapa of Tila-9 said that it would be very easy to promote tourism if the road network was expanded to the village to connect the foreign tourists and domestic tourists to the cave.

If the Nadaigufa area is developed and promoted in a systematic way, it can become a popular religious tourism destination. The cave, which is full of natural beauty, religious faith and historical importance, has not been the choice of tourists. Locals believe that the cave would be established as an important religious tourism center of the district if its conservation, infrastructure development and publicity were carried out.

According to the ward office, hoarding boards and map will be constructed from this year to further identify the cave. Of the five villages in the ward, there is no road connectivity to Upper Khopri and Lower Khopri villages.
