Jhapa. A total of 4,900 people have issued passports from the District Administration Office in the last three months.

A total of Rs 2,23,81,000 revenue was collected from issuing passports from mid-July to mid-September. In the same period, 2,676 people have obtained citizenship certificates on the basis of descent, 104 have obtained naturalized citizenship, 15 have obtained non-resident citizenship and 3,085 have been distributed copies of citizenship, according to the District Administration Office.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Dor Prasad Niraula, a total of Rs 22.745 crore revenue has been collected in the first three months of the current fiscal year.

Among the complaints registered at the administration, 40 are related to indecent behavior, 23 are related to foreign employment fraud, five are related to citizenship, seven are related to motor vehicle compensation and one case related to gambling has been settled.
