Kathmandu. Nepal imported toothpicks worth Rs 66.47 lakh in the first three months of the current fiscal year.
In July, August and September, 19,315 kg of toothpicks were imported and Rs 66.47 lakh was out. The state has earned Rs 25.44 lakh in revenue from the outflow of this amount.
Toothpicks are imported from China, India and Thailand. The highest number of 19,013 kg of toothpaste was imported from China worth Rs 6.6 million.
Likewise, 100 kilograms of toothpaste worth Rs 34,000 was imported from India. Similarly, 202 kg toothpick worth Rs 11,000 was imported from Thailand, according to the Department of Customs.
