Mustang administration urges people not to travel on trekking route

Mustang. The Mustang administration has urged the trekkers not to travel on the touristic trekking route.

Issuing a notice today, the District Administration Office, Mustang urged people not to trek in the high mountainous areas of Mustang as the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has predicted adverse weather condition till Wednesday.

Heavy to light snowfall is forecast at Mustang-Dolpa, Yakkharka area at 5,800 metres altitude, Manang-Mustang Thorangla pass at 5,400 metres, Mustang-Manang Saribung pass at an altitude of 6,000 metres and Dhampus peak along the Dhaulagiri trekking route in Mustang. Chief District Officer of Mustang, Bishnu Prasad Bhusal, said that the people have been requested not to trekker through the area÷ area.

According to the information, there is a possibility of snowfall and rain in other parts of the district till Wednesday, urging tourists and pilgrims to travel with high alertness after taking information about the weather forecast.
