Kathmandu. Rainfall is likely to occur in some places of Nepal from this evening. Rainfall is likely to occur in Nepal due to influence of Westerly wind, low pressure system formed in the Arabian Sea and Cyclone Montha in the Bay of Bengal.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely to occur at some places of Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province and Karnali Province and at a few places of hilly and mountainous region from the night of November 26 to this morning due to the influence of the low pressure system developed in the Arabian Sea. Likewise, there are chances of heavy snowfall in some places of high hilly and mountainous region of Gandaki province.
Meteorologists have said that the impact of Cyclone Montha that formed in the Bay of Bengal will be seen in Nepal from Wednesday. There are chances of moderate to heavy rainfall in eastern Nepal from Wednesday to Saturday due to the impact of this storm. This system will cause rainfall in Koshi State, Madhes Province, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province while snowfall will occur in the high hilly and mountainous areas. Most of the impact will be seen in Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati.
