Sindhuli. A person died and two others were injured in a road accident at Sunkoshi rural municipality-6, Chainpur along the BP Highway today. The car (Ba 7 Cha 7554) en route to Kathmandu from Biratnagar fell 42 feet off the road after it lost control.

Three members of a family were injured in the accident. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Surya Prakash Subedi, the car driven by Om Bahadur Arjel, 65, of Biratnagar Sub-metropolis-17 lost control and the accident took place.

Following the accident, police rescued the injured and took them to Atmaya Community Hospital, Khalte for treatment. Om Bahadur breathed his last while he was rushed to the hospital for treatment, DSP Subedi said. His wife Sunita Arjel, 49, is said to be in critical condition. Nishant Arjel’s son, 31, has been referred to Dhulikhel Hospital for further treatment after primary treatment at Intimate Community Hospital, Khalte.
