Gorkha. Various villages in northern Gorkha have received snowfall. Various settlements of Chumnubri rural municipality have been experiencing snowfall since last night, according to locals.

Pasang Phunjo Lama of Chumnubri rural municipality-7 said normal life has been affected due to the snowfall. “It started raining light last night. It started snowing at night. It is still snowing,” he said, adding, “Now people are sitting inside the house by the fire, yaks are also inside.” ’

The villages of Nile, Chule, Pangdun, Lar, Phurpe, Lamagaun, Burji, Jong and Chhekam at an altitude of more than three thousand meters are covered with snow. Likewise, Samagaun and Samdo villages of ward-1, Syala and Lho of ward-2 have also been covered by snow.

Tourists visiting Manaslu region have also been affected due to the snowfall. Locals said that the tourists who had gone to Larkepass at an altitude of 5,106 meters were stranded at Samagaun and Samdo.
