Kathmandu. The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Wednesday approved the visit of President Ram Chandra Poudel to Qatar, said government spokesperson and Minister for Communications Jagadish Kharel.

According to him, President Poudel and his delegation will pay an official visit to Qatar from November 3 to 20. He is leaving for Nepal to attend the Second World Summit for Social Development, he informed after the cabinet meeting.

Likewise, the government has decided to hold the National Assembly election on January 24. The decision was taken by the Council of Ministers, informed Information Minister Jagadish Kharel.

According to him, the Council of Ministers has decided to fix the date for the election on January 24.
