Kathmandu. Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya has urged the government to resolve the issue of power supply to industries that have not paid their dues of dedicated feeder and trunk line through talks and talks.
Various industries in the state have closed down after the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) shut down the power supply. Hundreds of workers have been rendered jobless and the local economy has been negatively affected, according to the state government.
Issuing a press release on Wednesday, Chief Minister Acharya pointed out the need for the federal government to find a long-term solution through dialogue and collaboration between the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and the industry operators.
He also stressed on the need for all sides to be responsible and sensitive to restore confidence in industry and business, protect workers’ rights and maintain economic balance.
“The Lumbini Province government is committed to the promotion of industry and business, protection of workers’ interests and overall economic development of the province,” reads the statement.
