Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The High Court Patan has dismissed a writ petition challenging the suspension of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Police Chief Rajunath Pandey.

A division bench of Justices Dal Bahadur Khadka and Dipak Khanal on Wednesday quashed the writ petition filed by Pandey.

Pandey’s suspension has been upheld after his writ petition was dismissed. Chief Administrative Officer Saroj Guragain had suspended Pandey for six months on June 3.

Guragain had sought an explanation from Pandey on May 21 for creating a ruckus while going to his office on April 21 last year. Pandey was suspended after he submitted clarification stating that he had only fulfilled his duty.
