Manang. Normal life in Manang has been affected due to heavy snowfall. The security agencies have been carrying out efforts to rescue tourists trapped in the snow since early morning but they are facing difficulties due to lack of vehicles.

Chief District Officer Nawaraj Poudyal shared lack of vehicles to rescue the tourists. “We are rescuing stranded tourists. Vehicles have also been stuck in the snow. There is a shortage of other vehicles,” he said.

Tourists stranded at Tilicho base camp have been rescued and other arrangements have been made in Khangsar, he added. He said that the movement has been made easier by removing snow from the 25-kilometer road.

According to local tourism entrepreneurs, some tourists have been managed at home stay while some have been managed at private homes. According to them, all foreign tourists are safe.
