Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — The government, which has been holding intensive talks with the stakeholders for creating an environment for the elections, is going to hold discussions between the political parties and the ‘Genji’ representatives for the first time.
The government has summoned a tripartite meeting at 4:00 pm on Wednesday at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar. The meeting will discuss between the government, political parties and the Genji group.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel, said that the joint meeting has been organized to create an atmosphere for the election. He further said that phase-wise talks and discussions were underway with the political parties and bodies concerned to make the elections successful.
Earlier, a discussion was held between the government and the political parties on October 4. The all-party meeting called by Prime Minister Sushila Karki was positive to hold the election on the slated date.
Various formal discussions and dialogues were also held in the meantime. According to the concerned parties, the formal political dialogue held after a long time has created an atmosphere for the election.
Minister Kharel said that the government has initiated all sorts of works in preparation for the elections. The government has been holding discussions with the Election Commission at different stages and has been pressing for conducive environment for the election. Accordingly, the EC has already started preparations for the election.
