Bhojpur. Vehicular movement has resumed after the upgradation of the Chakhewa-Panchdhare road, which was damaged during the monsoon. The Temkemaiyung rural municipality has resumed the road which had been obstructed at several places due to incessant rainfall some time back.
Locals and tourists have been facing problems due to the closure of this road linking two tourist areas, Chakhewa and Panchdhare. Saroj Basnet, chairperson of Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality, said that the road has been repaired and vehicular traffic has come into operation. As it is a touristic road, the rural municipality has prioritized the repair work, he said.
The length of the road from Chakhewa to Panchdhare is nine kilometres. Basnet said other roads in the rural municipality are also being repaired. Transportation of materials, trade and daily movement has been easier after the resumption of obstructed road, said the locals.
