Kathmandu. Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has directed the government to make all mechanisms active to control revenue leakage.
The directive was issued at a meeting of the Central Revenue Leakage Committee chaired by Finance Minister Khanal on Thursday. He also directed to organize coordination meetings at the district level to control revenue leakage. He said collective efforts of all were needed to control revenue leakage.
On the occasion, Finance Minister Khanal directed the government to exchange information among all bodies, organize awareness programmes at the district level and make arrangements for holding the committee’s next meeting in other offices and agencies.
The Finance Minister also directed the offices involved in the control of leakage at the district level to make arrangements to connect them online. Secretaries of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Home Secretary, Finance Secretary, chiefs of security bodies and chiefs of departments under the Ministry of Finance were present in the meeting.
