Kathmandu. Flights in the country have been affected due to bad weather. Both domestic and international flights from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have been affected due to bad weather and bad weather.

Airport spokesperson Rinji Sherpa said although some domestic flights were diverted today due to bad weather, the flights to and from Bharatpur and Tumlingtar airports have been closed. Pokhara airport is closed for arrivals and only departures are open. According to him, the Shree Airlines plane that took off from Biratnagar for Kathmandu was diverted there, adding that the same Airlines aircraft that took off from Bhairahawa to Kathmandu was diverted to Bhairahawa.

According to Spokesperson Sherpa, the Nepal Airlines plane has been diverted to New Delhi, India. He said that an IndiGo flight was also diverted to New Delhi, adding that an Air India flight was diverted to Lucknow. According to Sherpa, the visibility of Tribhuvan International Airport is 2,500 meters. According to the airport office, domestic flights have been affected due to faulty in-route weather.

Meanwhile, Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division said that Montha, a cyclone developed in the Bay of Bengal, has made a landfall in the Andre Province of India on the night of November 27. The system then gradually weakens and moves towards the north, north-west and is moving towards the east as a low-pressure area near the central region of Nepal.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather in Bagmati, Madhes and Koshi provinces of Nepal will be affected from today till October 29. There are chances of moderate rain at most places of Madhes and Koshi Province and at some places of Bagmati Province due to influence of this system. The Division has urged one and all to adopt necessary precaution as there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of these provinces.
