Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Premier League (NPL) team Lumbini Lions is to organize a talent selection program to select three best youth players for the upcoming edition of the tournament.

The tournament will be organized by the District Cricket Association Banke and Nepalgunj on October 26 at the Kohalpur Cricket Stadium in Banke on Thursday. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Three best young players will be selected from the program. According to Lumbini Lions, one player will be included in the main team while two players will be included in the development team. The selected players will get an opportunity to participate in the second edition of Nepal Premier League starting from November 1.

Lumbini Lions have already retained 6 key players for the second edition of the NPL. The talent hunt program is expected to provide opportunities to new talents in Nepali cricket and raise the standard of cricket in the country.
