Submission of internal audit report and integrated annual statement of government assets

Kathmandu. The Office of Financial Comptroller General (OFCG) has submitted the integrated financial statement of the central accounts of the Government of Nepal for the fiscal year 2081/82, the annual report of internal audit and the integrated annual statement of the assets of the Government of Nepal.

Financial Comptroller General Shobhakanta Poudel submitted the report to Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal today. Similarly, the Office of Financial Comptroller General has submitted the integrated financial statement of the central account and the integrated annual statement of movable, immovable and liabilities of the Government of Nepal to the Office of the Auditor General today.

Spokesperson of the Office of Financial Comptroller General Dipak Lamichhane said that the details and reports prepared as per the accounting framework approved by the Nepal Public Sector Auditor General have incorporated the details of the budget of the Government of Nepal and the Extra Budgetary Bodies as per the prevailing laws.

According to the report, the government has a reserve fund of Rs 196.34 billion in the fiscal year 2081/82 and a negative cash position of Rs 31.34 billion. However, based on the reserves of various funds and the remaining reserves of the extra budgetary bodies, cash and bank reserves stood positive at Rs 65.81 billion, Lamichhane said.
