Bagmati. Vehicular movement along the Hetauda-Kathmandu Kanti Highway has been disrupted. Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati informed vehicular movement has come to a halt when rocks fell on the road at Ghattepakha of Bakaiya rural municipality-11 following incessant rain. He said dozers and human resources have been mobilized to clear the landslide debris and resume the road.

Similarly, Hetauda-Kulekhani-Sisneri-Dakshinkali road linking Hetauda-Kathmandu has not come into operation yet. The landslide occurred at Jyamire of Indrasarovar rural municipality-3 in Makawanpur district, obstructing the road section since Saturday evening. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bogati said the vehicles heading to Hetauda from Kathmandu and Hetauda to Kathmandu have been stranded due to the road disruption.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bogati said that it has been difficult to open the road as the soil is getting wet due to incessant rainfall and the stone and soil continue to fall away. Police have urged the people to use alternative roads as it will take time to resume the road.
