Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Minister for Finance Rameshwor Prasad Khanal and Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, H.E. Park Tae-young, held a meeting at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar today. A courtesy call was held at the Ministry of Finance on Monday.
On the occasion, Minister Khanal also spoke about the bilateral diplomatic relations between the two Koreas and expressed gratitude to the Korean government for its continuous support. Stating that the state of projects and programs supported by Korea was satisfactory, he pledged to give continuity to economic partnership with Korea.
On the occasion, Ambassador expressed happiness over Nepal’s coordination and cooperation with Korea and KOICA during the 30 years of the establishment of bilateral relations between KOICA, an agency of the Government of Korea, and expressed his happiness over the coordination and cooperation between the Korean government and Koica during this period.
He also informed that the Korean government is going to establish a separate visa center to facilitate Nepali workers to go to South Korea for employment. Likewise, the ambassador requested the NRB to facilitate for the provision of concessional loan through the Agricultural Development Bank with the help of COICA for the promotion of entrepreneurship of Nepali nationals who have returned to Korea for employment under the EPS system.
