UNDO General Assembly and Partnership Conference with MITE Foundation to be held in South Korea in December

Kathmandu. The 8th meeting of the United Nepali Diaspora Organization, chaired by its President Sonam Lama, was held on October 31, 2025 and passed various resolutions including its annual general meeting.

The meeting also decided to hold the upcoming annual general meeting and one-day conference in partnership with the MAT Foundation from December 20-21, 2025 in South Korea. The AGM was not focused on the organization’s budget, resource development, globalization plans, various projects and the main agenda of the one-day conference.

Although it is customary to hold the annual general meeting of the organization in Nepal, it was decided to hold this year in South Korea on Saturday, December 20, 2025, due to the responsibility of globalization, the initial year of the organization’s development. The seventh meeting of the meeting had decided to appoint RC Laxmi Gurung as the coordinator of the conference. All registered members and all members who have subscribed by the same day are eligible to be representatives in the AGM.

The one-day conference is being held on Sunday, December 21, 2025 in partnership with UNDO and MITE Foundation. Further updates on the conference and meetings will be regularly posted on the UNDO and MITE Foundation Facebook pages.

A statute amendment committee has been formed under the convenorship of UNDO Secretary Sangita Karki. She will nominate the remaining members of the committee. It has been decided that the proposed amendment draft of the statute will be sent to all the members via email within 1 week or before the meeting.

A planning committee has been formed under the convenorship of Executive Member and Communications Coordinator Krishna KC to prepare the global expansion plan of the organization. The committee will have the participation of all the working committee members and members. Treasurer Ulka Ghimire has been given the responsibility to prepare the budget for the next 2 years and present the financial statement. This time, the budget will be covered by projects, various activities.

Similarly, the regional coordinators of all the sectors of the organization will present their plans and reports in the general assembly. All regional vice-presidents of the organization will coordinate and facilitate micro-projects that can be completed and be completed in the next two years. Trilok Gurung, vice-president of the project, and Bhuma Limbu will coordinate the project in partnership with MITE Foundation, which is currently in the pipeline.
