Kathmandu. Former Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Hitendra Dev Shakya has filed a writ petition at the apex court challenging the government’s decision.

A writ petition filed by Shakya at the Supreme Court on Monday termed the government’s decision as illegal after the government removed him from the NRA.

The then KP Sharma Oli-led government on March 24 had sacked Kulman Ghising from NEA and appointed Shakya to the post of managing director.

The government, formed on the foundation of the Jenji movement, had decided to send Shakya from the NEA to the Water and Energy Commission on September 28. Shakya has gone to the Supreme Court against this.
