Humla. A fire broke out at Chhatrapal Basic School in Adanchuli rural municipality of the district. The fire that broke out at the school at Adanchuli rural municipality-3 at 8.00 pm today completely gutted the two-storey building of the school.

All the school documents were destroyed in the fire, said teacher Nanda Phadera. A solar set, two laptops, two desktops, four drawers, four sofa sets, 20 plastic chairs, one ring chair, three madal, harmonium, drum sets, 12 sets of table chairs, two printers and important documents were destroyed in the debris, said teacher Nanda Phadera.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Jaman Singh Pariyar, a teacher at the school, said that the incident was suspicious as the door of the office room was not locked and only the handle was switched on. The school runs classes from Grade 1 to 8.
