Kathmandu. The government has spent only 5.44 per cent of its capital expenditure in more than three and a half months.
As of November 3, the government has spent Rs 22.19 billion in capital expenditure. The government has allocated a budget of Rs 407.88 billion for the current fiscal year.
Similarly, Rs 289.21 billion was spent in the current fiscal year. This expenditure is 24.49 percent of the current expenditure. The government had allocated Rs 1,180.98 billion in the current fiscal year.
The government has spent Rs 117.58 billion till November 3. This is 31.34 per cent of the allocated budget of Rs 375.24 billion.
The government has presented a budget of Rs 1,964.11 billion for the current fiscal year. The government has spent 21.84 per cent or Rs 428.99 billion so far. The government had set a target of collecting Rs 14.80 trillion in revenue while allocating the budget.
Out of this, revenue of Rs 280.85 billion or 18.98 percent of the target has been collected. As of November 3, the government has collected Rs 263.29 billion from tax revenue, which is 19.86 per cent of the target. The government has set a target to collect Rs 1325,58,39,000 in revenue under this head.
Non-tax revenue of Rs 17.55 billion was collected 11.37 per cent of the target. The government has set a target to collect Rs 154.41 billion for the current fiscal year.
Similarly, 4.01 per cent of the target of assistance and grants i.e. Rs 2.14 billion has been received. The government has set a target of Rs 53.44 billion for the fiscal year.
