Jhapa. The INSAS weapon was found discarded from Sugam Shanti Tole at Birtamod municipality-6 this evening.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Khadka, said that INSAS Than-1 (serial number 031100872), magazine than-1, 19 rounds of soap and two rounds of Besavut bullets were recovered from the Area Police Office, Anarmani during the agitation on September 8.

According to him, the INSAS weapon was found in the bushes of Simal Tarul near Toribari of Sugam Shanti Tole at Birtamod-6 at 4.45 pm. Spokesperson Khadka said that 22 arms and ammunition looted from the Area Police Office, Damak and Area Police Office, Anarmani, are still missing.

A total of 103 weapons of different types were looted in Jhapa during the Zenji movement. Of them, 81 weapons have been recovered. Weapons have been found abandoned in different places of the district.
