New Delhi. Hundreds of flights were affected at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Friday due to a technical glitch in the air traffic control (ATC) system, a senior official told Xinhua.

Technical experts at the Delhi International Airport (MIA) are working to resolve the technical issues and it is yet to be ascertained when flights will resume.

According to a press release issued by the airport, the operation of flights at IGIA has been delayed due to a technical problem in the ATC system. “All the concerned agencies including the technical team are actively working to resolve the problem at the earliest,” the statement said.

Passengers are advised to stay in touch with their respective airlines for latest flight updates. Many private airlines have also advised their passengers to stay in touch for updates on flight operations.
