Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Chandra Prasad Dhakal has said that the private sector was trying to rise above the ashes.
He said that there was looting and arson in the business. He said that it was considered a crime for businessmen to make a profit. He said that the problem will increase if action is not taken against those involved in arson and vandalism. He urged the private sector to create an environment conducive for them.
He demanded action against those involved in criminal activities.
Speaking at the National Economic Debate 2.0 organised by the FNCCI here today, Minister Khatiwada said the tax was paid before the deadline set by the government.
He said that the government has accepted the request made by the Federation and himself to resolve the dedicated and trunk line dispute that has been in dispute for about 7 years.
He said the Genji movement had caused a loss of Rs 48 billion and a loss of Rs 88 billion.
He demanded that the government remove the compulsion of the private sector to visit 4 to 7 government bodies while working.
