Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has said that the situation in the country is gradually returning to normal.TAG_OPEN_p_10 He claimed that although the rule of law had weakened after the ‘Jenji movement’, the government was now successful in restoring it.
Stating that it was the responsibility of the private sector to protect the economy, Minister Aryal said, “The need of the hour is to protect the remaining wealth after the Genji movement.TAG_OPEN_p_9 ”
According to him, 211 structures were completely damaged and 427 private structures were damaged during the Genji movement.TAG_OPEN_p_8 Cases of criminal nuisance have been filed against around 150 people, including those involved in the protests, he added.
Urging the government to compare the behaviour of former ministers and current ministers, Minister Aryal said the incumbent government was working with determination for the rule of law and stability.TAG_OPEN_p_7
According to him, 710 weapons have been returned so far under the government’s efforts and some are still outside.TAG_OPEN_p_6 Of the 49,000 prisoners who escaped during the Zenji movement, only 65 percent have been returned and the remaining 5,105 are still absconding, he said.
In the end, Minister Aryal reaffirmed that the Ministry of Home Affairs was always ready to provide a reliable environment of security to the private sector.TAG_OPEN_p_5
