Gorkha. At least 17 passengers including the driver were injured in a microbus accident at Ghumtimode of Siranchowk rural municipality-4, Chorkate.
The microbus (Ba 4 Kha 6043) en route to Abukhaireni from Bhachek met with the accident, said Raj Kumar Shrestha, information officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office. According to him, the accident took place after the microbus lost control and hit the wall on the right side of the road.
The injured have been identified as Sworinal Chaudhary, 8, Laxmi Chaudhary, 43, and Pabitra Mahato, 36. A police team reached the incident site immediately after receiving information about the accident and rescued the injured and sent them to State Hospital, Gorkha, for treatment, said Information Officer Shrestha.
Most of the injured are residents of Khaireni municipality in Chitwan, police said. The microbus was carrying 19 passengers.
