Kathmandu. Chairman of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, said it was regrettable that the industries and houses were torched and looted during any protest.

Inaugurating the 43rd annual general meeting and 59th establishment day organized by Kavre Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Banepa today, Minister Urday said that the state should formulate necessary policies for the security of the youths as it is the private sector which contributes to the state by collecting revenue and contributes to the state. Stating that the purpose of the Genji movement was not to attack, he demanded action against those who infiltrate in the name of movement.

President Dhakal said that the Nepal Development Company has been brought into operation with an investment of Rs 10 billion to give a message that big projects could be built by mobilizing Nepal’s domestic capital at the initiative of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). He expressed the belief that this would help in boosting the confidence of Nepal to do a lot of work by mobilizing its own capital.

“This kind of work has been taken forward at the initiative of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) at a time when a negative narrative has been created that nothing happens in Nepal.

On the occasion, Mayor of Panchkhal Municipality Mahesh Kharel said that it was unfortunate that the entrepreneurs had to bear the pain of their businesses when their businesses were burning.

Pratap Baidya, president of Kavre Chamber of Commerce and Industry, urged the state to construct separate commercial space, agriculture zone and industrial zone to maintain business environment in Banepa, Panauti and Dhulikhel.

He also urged the bodies concerned to bring the under-construction Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Panchkhal and industrial village at Mandandeupur into operation at the earliest by managing adequate budget.
