Kathmandu. Shivam Cement and Himal Iron and Steel have paid the first tranche of their dedicated feeder and trunk line dues to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
According to NEA Managing Director Manoj Silwal, both industries have paid the first tranche amount. According to him, Shivam Cement has paid Rs 23.8 million and Himal Iron has paid Rs 2.45 crore.
Himal paid the dues on Sunday and Shivam on Monday. Power lines have been installed in both the factories immediately after clearing the dues.
NEA had cut off the Shivam transmission line on October 19. Shivam was yet to pay Rs 668.88 million dues to NEA.
