Myagdi. Annapurna Rural Municipality of Myagdi district has selected 156 projects to be implemented in the current fiscal year 2082/83. The government has forwarded the process of survey, cost estimate, formation of consumer committee, tender call and contract for the implementation of three projects with a budget of Rs 162.7 million.
According to Chief Administrative Officer Kapil Pandey, out of 156 projects including 24 at the local level, contract for three projects, final payment of one, survey of 44 projects, cost estimate of 30 and contract for seven have been called so far.
He said that the plan is being implemented as per the target of signing the agreement within the next five months and making the final payment by the next April. The rural municipality has called for contracts for Bhirkate-Dowa, Pokharebagar-Chitre, Tatopani-Bhurung, Bichan-Lisne, Ghar playground and Ratopani Kunda conservation project.
There are many projects related to road upgradation, trekking route, tourism infrastructure, community building, drinking water, irrigation, playground, landslide and river control. Bharat Kumar Pun, chairperson of the rural municipality, said that the construction of Prabha and Paudar Secondary School, Rupse waterfall infrastructures, Sekarku Tatopani construction and Khiwang-Gharmdi road project are targeted to be completed in this fiscal year.
He said that the construction of the administrative building has been started from the current fiscal year after completing the process related to land acquisition. Ward No. Chairman Pun said that the construction process will be forwarded as land has already been acquired for the construction of office building of Ward No. 7.
Similarly, Annapurna Rural Municipality has collected Rs 13.75 million in revenue in the first four months of the current fiscal year. Pun Hill, Bhurung-Tatopani, Paudwar Tatopani and Ratopani Tatopani Kunda have earned Rs 15,21,080 by contracting out income contracts.
The rural municipality has been issuing income contracts for the operation of tourist sites, entry fee, hotel and tea shop. Vice President Diwa Tilija Pun said that the income was made by the company.
