Still. The 18-km two-lane section of the western section of the Pokhara-Muglin road section has been blacktopped. So far, 37 kilometres of the 38-kilometer road has been blacktopped.
According to the contractor engineer Sahanashila Kayastha, 59.89 per cent physical and 47.80 per cent financial progress has been made so far. “29.61 km road has been blacktopped with four lanes while 7.79 km road has been blacktopped with one-way lane”, he shared. ’
In the current fiscal year, 14 kilometers of blacktopping has been completed. Two culverts were constructed during the period. Of the 12 bridges in the western section, 11 bridges and 105 culverts have also been constructed.
In urban areas, a six-lane road will be constructed with a service lane while in other areas it will be a four-lane road. According to the project, the six-lane road from Seti Bridge to Lower Gagangauda will be wide.
