Kathmandu. The deadline for registering the voters’ list has been extended by 5 days. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has urged the Election Commission (EC) to extend the deadline for enrolling the voters’ name in the voters’ list.

Karki has urged Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari to extend the term of the EC. Bhandari informed the Prime Minister that the EC was positive in this regard and the deadline could be extended by 5 days.

There has been a high number of people registering their names online since Thursday after the voters could register their names on the basis of the details of the national identity card. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Karki has also expressed concern about the problem seen in internet server. Bhandari informed that the issue is also being resolved.
