Kathmandu. Kathmandu. Life Insurance Corporation (LIC Nepal) has earned a net profit of Rs 10.83 crore in the first quarter of the current FY. It was 37.47 percent more than the same period last year.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 7,883,000 in the same quarter last year. According to the company’s unrevised financial statements, the company’s life insurance fund stood at Rs 136.95 billion as of mid-September of the current fiscal year. The company’s fund stood at Rs 123.78 billion in the same period of the previous year.
During the review period, LIC Nepal has earned a total premium of Rs 4.98 billion. The company had earned Rs 4.57 billion in total insurance premiums in the same period.
Similarly, the company has earned Rs 4.96 billion in net insurance premium till mid-September of the current fiscal year. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 4.54 billion in the same period last year.
The company’s calamity fund stood at Rs 69.16 crore as against Rs 68.09 crore in the previous year. The company has EPS of Rs 7.88, PE ratio of Rs 100.87 and net worth per share of Rs 183.32.
