. KATHMANDU: The government has honoured the highest taxpayers paying tax in 16 categories for the fiscal year 2068 BS. On the occasion, Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal felicitated the best taxpayers.

The government has been celebrating Tax Day every year since the enactment of the Value Added Tax Act, 2052.TAG_OPEN_p_7 On this occasion, taxpayers who have been paying the best tax in various categories are felicitated to encourage taxpayers and in view of their corporate social responsibility.

According to this year’s program, the Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has become the first among the large corporations paying the highest income tax.TAG_OPEN_p_6 Among the standalone firms: Thai Eye International, Commodity: Income Tax Dabur Nepal, Information Technology: Varix Nepal Pvt. Ltd., Export Transaction: Dabur Nepal Pvt. Ltd., Agriculture & Livestock Nutrition Breeder, Banks & Financial Institutions: Nepal Investment Bank.

Health & Education: Nobel Medical College, Tourism: Soaltee Hotel Goods Business: Bhatbhateni Supermarket, Mid-level Taxpayer: Serious and Clearing Limited, Energy: Bhotekoshi Power Company, Remittance: IME, Personal Income Tax: Raj Bahadur Sah, Among those who pay on time: Nepal Telecommunication Company Limited, Among the businessmen of more than 50 crores: VF Services, Special Industries: Unilever Nepal
