Kathmandu. The movement of vehicles stranded on the banks of the Guheshwori-Gokarneshwor temple section of the Bagmati River has begun.

Vehicles parked near the police post at Gokarneshwor Municipality-5, Jammudanda have been removed from the area on Tuesday.

Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport, and Urban Development Kulman Ghising today inspected the Bagmati River corridor area and directed the authorities concerned to remove the vehicles parked on the banks of the river and make arrangements for sewerage.

Around 120 metres of traffic jam at Jambudanda has allowed the sewage to flow directly into the Bagmati river. The road has also been damaged due to the bursting of sewerage. Drainage repairs have also been started. In addition, the sand and garbage from the river will also be removed from Guheshwori in the upper bank. For this, the high-powered Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee is making necessary preparations.
