Kathmandu. Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has said that the incumbent government was focused on handing over power in a safe manner. He said this while speaking at a programme titled ‘Reforms in Revenue System: Public Private Dialogue’ organized by CNI in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

He added that the government was moving ahead with the plan of holding elections and handing over power in a safe manner. He made it clear that he was not involved in changing the tax rates as the interim government has the mandate to hold elections. He said that they are moving forward in a lawful manner, staying as calm as possible, avoiding criticism and doing so in a lawful manner.

Finance Minister Khanal said that work should be done with patience as much as possible. Similarly, he said that the tax rate should not be used at a time when it should be avoided from criticism and should also be legal.    “Once again, there is a voice from another professional section that a particular aspect has been advocated. The government’s focus is on holding elections. The government’s focus is on a safe transfer of power. ” says Finance Minister Khanal.

For this reason, he has said that he is not involved in any work that is obstructive, oppositional.  Finance Minister Khanal said that voice of protest will be raised from the private sector if the tax rate is changed now.
