Kathmandu metropolis spends 12.94 per cent in four months, Rs 1.11 billion towards capital expenditure

Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has spent 12.94 per cent of the total expenditure in the first four months of the current fiscal year. Out of the allocated Rs 25.11 billion, Rs 3.25 billion has been spent.

Shyam Prasad Neupane, chief of the Financial Administration Division, said that Rs 2.13 billion has been spent in the current budget of Rs 9.56 billion and Rs 1.11 billion has been spent in capital expenditure.

During this period, 14 percent of the budget spent by the Centre has been spent. The highest amount of 19.41 percent and the lowest amount of 0.38 percent has been spent in the ward.

The metropolis spent 12.9 per cent in 2080/81, 12.34 per cent in 2081/82 and 12.94 per cent this year.

Last year, Rs 3.08 billion or 12.34 per cent of the allocated Rs 25.86 billion was spent. Out of the allocated amount, Rs 1,80,54,99,290 was recurrent expenditure and Rs 1,282,29,22,193 was capital expenditure. Of this, Rs 9.82 billion has been allocated for current expenditure and Rs 15.06 billion for capital expenditure.

Of this, 13.31 per cent was spent by the Centre. The highest spender is Ward No. Ward No. 19 has 20.93 percent and the lowest spender. 11 spent 1.19 percent.

Out of Rs 24.18 billion allocated for the fiscal year 2080÷081, Rs 2.92 billion or 12.09 percent of the budget was spent. In the current fiscal year, Rs 1,680,769,560 was spent out of Rs 9.03 billion allocated for current expenditure and Rs 1,245,50,27,653 out of Rs 15.10 billion allocated for capital expenditure.

During this period, the centre’s expenditure was 12.78 per cent. Ward No. 19 spends the most at 21.23 percent while Ward No. 19 spends the least percent. 32 spent 1.14 percent.

This year, more than 10 percent of the 10 wards have been spent. In the wards that spend in this way, ward no. 2 to 12.81 percent, Ward No. Ward No. 7 spent 20.55 percent, Ward No. 8 10.53 percent and Ward No. 10 spent 10.81 percent. According to him, Ward No. Ward No. 14 spent 15.86 percent, Ward No. 16 19.41 percent, Ward No. 19 16.69 percent, Ward No. 23 12.84 percent, Ward No. 27 14.44 percent, Ward No. 29 10.14 percent.
