Nepal should learn from China’s political, economic and social development: Speaker Ghimire

Kathmandu. Speaker Devraj Ghimire has said Nepal should learn from the political, economic and social development carried out by China.

Speaking at the launch of a book titled ‘Chinese Perspective’ by journalist Chetnath Acharya here today, he said China’s clear policy towards political stability and development was praiseworthy. He stressed on how Nepal could accelerate its development by partnering with China. However, Ghimire said that the country’s situation is plunging into crisis due to political instability.

On the occasion, Nepali Ambassador to China, Leela Mani Poudyal, Prof Dr Yubaraj Sangraula and Chinese professor Chang Yuyang had made a review on author Acharya’s book.

According to former chief secretary Poudyal, Acharya’s book has included documents of Chinese development policy. He also said that the book contains a pulse of perspective on how China understands the democratic system and how it has worked for the people.

On the occasion, Prof Dr Sangraula stressed the need for Nepal to collaborate with neighbouring country China in poverty alleviation by taking the political and economic concept positively. Likewise, Chinese professor Yu Yang said that China-Nepal relations have been beautiful since history and the future is bright as well.

Acharya said that China’s policy perspective has been looked at with a lot of interest and discussion around the world. According to him, Nepal also needs to study and take interest.
