Kathmandu. The budget for Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences has been endorsed. The 10th assembly of the Academy presided over by Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Friday passed a budget of Rs 1.89 billion for the current fiscal year 2082/83.
According to the approved budget, the BPKIHS will get Rs 36.95 crore from the government. Vice-Chancellor of the Institute, Dr Bharat Bahadur Khatri, said that the amount of Rs 1.52 billion would be received from internal sources.
In the last fiscal year, the 500-bed institute had received Rs 571.9 million from the government and earned Rs 1.13 billion from internal sources.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Karki said that the government would provide necessary support to the Foundation. The institute currently has 100 master’s degree and 170 students pursuing bachelor’s degree.
