Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The government and the representatives of the nation, nationality, religion, culture and the Save Citizens campaign Nepal led by medical entrepreneur Durga Prasain held talks at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar today.
Following the talks, the Mahabhiyan agreed to withdraw the Nepal bandh and indefinite general strike that was scheduled to take place from November 23. Detailed discussions were held on the 27-point demands raised by the Maha Abhiyan.
During the discussions, it was agreed that the government would continue discussions, talks and facilitation to address the issues raised by the Citizens Save Campaign keeping in mind the current peace and security situation. A team led by Secretary Prem Limbu was present in the talks.
Also present on the occasion were Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister Ajaya Bhadra Khanal and advisor Govinda Narayan Timilsina from the government side.
The talks were held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar. It has been agreed that the next round of talks will be held as soon as possible with the leadership of the campaign.
