Khotang. Halesi Tuwachung Municipality has started construction of a new administrative building.

For this, a budget of Rs 58,718,130 has been allocated by the Ministry of Urban Development and the municipality, said Kamal Giri, spokesperson of the municipality. The service was supplied from a truss building constructed at Chhapadanda of ward-5, Durchim. The construction company has started the construction work with the aim of completing the administrative building within 18 months.

Mayor Bimala Rai and deputy mayor Ramesh Kumar Raut laid the foundation stone for the construction of the administrative building on the municipality’s own land. Mayor Rai said the construction of the administrative building of the municipality is an important step towards the long-term development of the municipality.

Locals Padam Raj Rai, Bhagsher Rai, Mohan Bahadur Rai and Diksher Rai donated 12 ropanis of land worth more than Rs 10 million for the construction of administrative office building.

There are 10 local levels in the district, along with Halesi Tuwachung Municipality, all the local levels will have their own well-equipped administrative buildings. Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi municipality and nine other local levels of the district have already constructed well-equipped administrative buildings and brought them into operation.
