. A total of 935.749 kg of gold has been imported into Nepal till mid-November of the current fiscal year. According to the Department of Customs, gold worth Rs 16.25 billion was imported in the first four months.
According to the Department of TAG_OPEN_div_17 Customs, the government has collected revenue worth Rs 1.62 billion in the first four months of the current fiscal year. A total of 935,749 grams of gold was imported during the period.
During this period, the highest amount of gold was imported from both countries.TAG_OPEN_div_15 Nepal imported 902,000 grams of gold worth Rs 15.72 billion. The government has collected Rs 1.57 billion in revenue from this.
Qatar is the second largest importer of gold after the two.TAG_OPEN_div_13 Nepal has imported 8,796 grams of gold worth Rs 135 million from Qatar. Saudi Arabia is the third largest importer of gold. Likewise, gold was imported from the UK, the US, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Australia and Belgium.
According to the Department of Customs, Nepal imported gold from Bhutan, Bhutan, China, Japan, Canada, Oman, Israel, India, Bulgaria, Jordan, Singapore, Portugal, Germany, Brunei Darussalam, Bela Russia, Romania, Cyprus and Lebanon among other countries in the first four months of the current fiscal year.TAG_OPEN_div_11
