Kathmandu. A total of 12 commercial banks have declared dividend from the profit of the last fiscal year 2081÷82. In the last fiscal year, a commercial bank has not been able to distribute dividend from the profit of one person.
Sanima Bank, Everest Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Siddhartha Bank, NMB Bank, Global IME Bank, Machhapuchchhre Bank, Citizens Bank, Nepal SBI Bank and Standard Chartered Bank have declared dividend from the profit of the last FY.
So far, 11 banks have declared dividend while Kumari Bank has declared no dividend. Among the commercial banks, Standard Chartered, Global IME Bank and Sanima Bank have distributed only cash dividend while Laxmi Sunrise Bank and Citizens Bank have distributed bonus shares except cash for tax purposes.
Everest Bank is the largest bank in the commercial bank so far. The bank has distributed 6 percent bonus shares and 14 percent cash dividend including tax purposes.
Similarly, Citizens Bank has distributed the lowest dividend from the profit of the last fiscal year. The bank has issued 5.26 per cent cash dividend and 5.26 per cent cash dividend to its shareholders from the profit of the last FY.
Similarly, Standard Chartered Bank has announced a 19 percent cash dividend from the profit of the last fiscal year. Similarly, Agriculture Development Bank has distributed 3.25 percent bonus and 9.75 percent cash dividend.
Laxmi Sunrise Bank has decided to distribute 10.53 percent bonus shares and 0.53 percent dividend to its shareholders. The bank has declared a 10.53 per cent cash dividend and 5.53 per cent bonus from the company’s profit.
NMB Bank has decided to provide 5 percent bonus and 5 percent cash from the profit of the last fiscal year. Similarly, Global IME Bank has declared 8 percent cash dividend while Machhapuchchhre Bank has declared 4 percent bonus and 4 percent cash dividend from the profit of the last FY.
