Book closure date of 22 companies, including three commercial banks, fixed: 5 companies empty-handed, which dividend is how much?

Kathmandu. As the second quarter of the financial year approaches, the listed companies are in a hurry to hold the general meeting. Some companies have already completed the AGM while some have announced the meeting.

As of December 18, 20 companies have announced meetings and 22 companies have announced meetings. Three commercial banks, hydropower companies and microfinance financial institutions are among those announcing the meeting.

Out of the 22 companies that announced the meeting, five have left the shareholders empty-handed. The rest of the companies have paid dividends.

Buddhabhumi Nepal Hydropower Company, Maikhola Hydropower, Makar Jitumaya Suri Hydropower, Sagarmatha Hydropower Company and Shubham Power Company are the companies that have been left empty hands of shareholders.

Maikhola Hydropower Company, which has not paid dividend to its shareholders, has proposed to issue 100 percent right shares and Sagarmatha Hydropower Company has also proposed to issue 100 percent right shares.

RSDC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has decided to provide 8 percent cash dividend to its shareholders. The company, which had called the meeting for November 25, has already closed the book on November 9.

Similarly, Citizens Bank International has called the meeting for 12th. The book has been closed for the purpose of the meeting on November 1. The bank has proposed a 5% bonus share and 0.26% cash dividend for tax purposes.

Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NIBL) has declared a 6.31% cash dividend to its shareholders. The bank, which has called for the meeting on December 7, is closing the book on December 3.  The company has announced a 21 percent bonus and a 1.10 percent cash dividend to pay tax

The meeting has been called for December 24. The book has been closed for the purpose of the meeting on November 5. Ngadi Group Power Company has called its meeting for December 25. The book will be closed on November 30 for the purpose of the meeting. The company has proposed a 4.75 percent bonus share and 0.25 percent cash dividend to its shareholders.

Shivam Cements has proposed to provide 2.5 percent bonus and 10 percent cash dividend to its shareholders. The book has been closed on November 26 for the purpose of the meeting.

The shareholders of Barun Hydropower Company will be given 4.75 percent bonus shares and 0.25 percent for tax purposes. It has proposed a cash dividend. The company has called a meeting for December 26. The book will be closed on November 30 for the purpose of the meeting.

Sarvottam Cement has called its AGM for December 10 by proposing to provide 5 percent bonus to the shareholders and 15 percent cash dividend including tax. The book will be closed on the 12th for the purpose of the meeting. Shine Resunga Development Bank has called its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on December 12. The bank has proposed a 3 percent bonus share and 10 percent cash dividend including tax. The bank will close its book on November 26.

Similarly, Soaltee Hotel has proposed 15 percent bonus share and 16.57 percent cash dividend including tax. The meeting has been called for December 28. The book has been closed for the purpose of the meeting from November 19 to November 28. Mountain Energy Nepal Limited has proposed a 20% bonus to its shareholders and a 1.05% cash dividend for the purpose of share tax. The company is closing the book on December 17.

Standard Chartered Bank has proposed a 19 percent cash dividend to its shareholders. The bank has called its annual meeting for December 29. The bank is closing the book on the 16th. ICFC Finance has called its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for December 29.  The book will be closed for December 19 for the purpose of the meeting.

Agriculture Development Bank has announced a 3.25 percent bonus and 9.75 percent cash dividend to its shareholders. The book will be closed on November 30 for the purpose of the meeting.

Sikless Hydropower Company has announced a cash dividend of 15 percent and Rs 0.78 cash dividend to its shareholders. The book will be closed on December 1 for the purpose of the meeting.

NRN Infrastructure and Development Company has proposed to provide 40 percent bonus shares to its shareholders and 2.10 percent cash dividend including tax. The book has been closed for the purpose of the meeting on November 26 (today).

Similarly, Super Modi Hydropower Company has provided 5 percent bonus share and 0.26 percent cash dividend for tax purposes. The company, which has called for the meeting on December 17, has closed the book from December 1 to December 19.
