Kathmandu. There has been a slight improvement in the stock market. The index, which measures the market, increased by 9.61 points to sit at 2,665.60 points.

A total of 1,36,20,838 units of shares of 322 companies were traded at Rs 6,692,29,71,095.

The sub-indices of finance, investment, life insurance and non-life insurance groups decreased while the sub-indices of other sub-indices increased.

The prices of 142 companies increased while the prices of 104 companies decreased. Share prices of Jhapa Energy, Sagar Distillery and Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd were trading in the positive circuit.

NRN Infrastructure and Development Company is in the first position on the basis of transaction amount. The company’s turnover stood at Rs 62,43,43,215. Shivam Cement and Himalayan Distillery are in the second and third position respectively.
