. The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), which has been divided for long due to political interference and internal disputes, has moved towards reunification.

{{TAG_OPEN_p_17} Activists and key officials working abroad through various leadership groups have gathered in Kathmandu to hold final discussions on the origin of integrated structure and cooperation. Prime Minister Sushila Karki is scheduled to formally announce the unification on Sunday.

This time, the two sides have agreed to reach a 10-point agreement after intense discussions. As per the agreement, the next 12th General Convention will be held by April 17, 2026. Both sides elected Dr. Madhav Kumar Nepal from the 11th International Congress held in October 2023. The working committee led by Dr. Badri KC will be accepted as legitimate. The meeting also agreed to give formal recognition to the working committee led by Mahesh Kumar Shrestha elected from the unity general convention to be held in May 2025 under the convenorship of Shesh Ghale. Both sides hope that these decisions will help resolve past disputes sensitively.

As part of the agreement, the leadership has also pledged to withdraw all cases filed in the court.TAG_OPEN_p_14 An 11-member steering committee will be formed for the impartial preparation and management of the 12th General Convention. The members of this committee will not be allowed to contest for any post in the general convention, which is expected to make the general convention completely clean, systematic and free from weak influence.
