NIC ASIA Bank and NCHL sign agreement to issue Nepal Pay Card

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: NIC Asia Bank Limited (NCHL) has signed a strategic agreement with Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL) to issue Nepal Pay Card to its customers.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Sujit Kumar Shakya, CEO of NIC Asia Bank and Mr. Neelesh Man Singh Pradhan, CEO of NCHL.

As per the agreement, the bank became the principal partner to issue the Nepal Pay Card under the domestic card scam of NCHL licensed as a Payment System Operator (PSO) from Nepal Rastra Bank and has established the bank as the lead partner of NCHL’s National Card Switch.

This agreement will also help the bank to fully integrate with the National Payment Switch of Nepal and also open the doors for the issuance of NepalPay Card, popularly known as the domestic card. The agreement also ensures that all transactions done through POS and ATM networks across the country will be maintained under the national fee structure.

The alliance supports the bank’s unwavering commitment towards digital banking, ensuring access to modern, reliable and nation-wide domestic card services to the bank’s customers.
